As part of our culture at National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL) we believe in finding opportunities to develop meaningful relationships and celebrate inspiration. In only a couple of days, we are looking forward to recognizing, celebrating and connecting at the NFDA’s 2024 Professional Women’s Conference.
The sold out conference is held from April 28-30 in Savannah, Georgia and is attended by women in the funeral service profession who share similar experiences and backgrounds. The Professional Women’s Conference creates and strengthens connections, provides development, and inspires attendees.

NFDA Inspiration Award
Now in its second year, the NFDA Inspiration Award, is presented to an exceptional woman who is making noteworthy professional contributions to the funeral service or a related field. NGL is pleased to once again sponsor the Inspiration Award.
“I’m honored and thrilled to be a part of this initiative with the NFDA in celebrating and awarding an exceptional female who makes a difference in a profession that I love,” shares Jennifer Kaset, Vice President, Sales and Business Development at NGL. “There are many outstanding women in the profession who deserve to be recognized for their successes and have their story shared. I look forward to presenting the NFDA Inspiration Award and congratulating an inspiring leader in our industry.”
Last year, Jennifer had the privilege of presenting the 2023 Inspiration Award to Ellen Wynn McBrayer. Ellen is a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer, Certified Celebrant, Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, Certified Preplanning Consultant and is the President and Chief Financial Officer of Jones-Wynn Funeral Homes and Crematory, a third-generation family business.
“There are so many incredible women shaping our industry, I can’t wait to learn who will be the recipient of the 2024 Inspiration Award,” said Melissa Posey Loose, Assistant Vice President, Marketing Communications at NGL. “Collaboration, connection and creating community are at the heart of every interaction at NGL – from partners and funeral home directors to our policyholders and colleagues. We are passionate about celebrating the sense of community and connection that ties us together in this profession.”
NGL created a video demonstrating its commitment to recognizing and celebrating the remarkable women in funeral service.
