Members of NGL participate in Polar Plunge

This year there were two teams from NGL who participated in the Polar Plunge – Black Swans and Hannah’s Angels. The Polar Plunge, held on February 15, 2020, benefits Special Olympics Wisconsin.

A huge congratulations to teams Black Swans and Hannah’s Angels for being in the Top 5 Agencies and to Jeanne C., NGL Senior Contracting Specialist, and Lori H., NGL System Analyst, for being in the Top 10 Fundraisers. Black Swans raised $5,011, Hannah’s Angels raised $3,993, Jeanne raised $3,530 and Lori raised $1,932.50 for Special Olympics Wisconsin.

Lisa N., NGL Accountant, has a personal reason for participating in Polar Plunge and raising money for Special Olympics Wisconsin. Her niece Hannah has special needs and has been in the Special Olympics since she was eight years old.

“I formed the team Hannah’s Angels after my niece, Hannah, to help offset costs that are needed for the children and adults to participate in events. What most people don’t realize is, the parents pay for some things out of their pockets and most can’t afford to,” said Nemitz.

Thanks to Jeanne C., Lisa N., Dan D., Leah T., Holly K., Aaron F., David G., Lori H. and Alex B. for participating in the Madison Polar Plunge and for raising money to benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin.
