Downtown members of our customer support teams decided to give back this holiday season while also having a friendly competition to see which team can donate the most toys to our local Toys for Tots.

During the month of November the teams were motivating and encouraging everyone at NGL to donate a new toy benefiting Toys for Tots. Thanks to their efforts, more than 80 toys will be distributed to local families who might not otherwise be able to afford a gift for their child.
“We had a lot of fun competing to see who could collect the most toys. The holidays can be difficult for families and we knew we could make a difference. These toys will help to make kids smile and ease some of the stress for their families,” shared Drew Peterson, NGL Preneed Customer Service Supervisor.
“We are always looking for ways to give back and help others in our community, and that is especially true during this time of year,” said Kiley Sokolik, NGL Preneed Agent Support Supervisor.
“Providing a superior and caring customer experience is one of the core values for our team so it’s not surprising they decided to collect toys for families. But really, it’s so much more than donating a toy. It’s about compassion for families who are experiencing a difficult time, and creating joy and hope for children and their families. I’m proud to be a part of a team that believes in helping people in the community,” shared Joanna Trygstad, Vice President, Policy Administration at NGL.
According to the Toys for Tots website, participating in the program and donating a toy is a gift that:
- Gives kids hope for the future.
- Provides a positive influence and offers a passive mentor program.
- Encourages and motivates youth to grow into responsible, productive community leaders.
- Positively impacts communities.
Thank you to everyone at NGL who donated and to Nicole C. and Ashlee D. on the Preneed Support team for organizing the toy drive. We are proud to have employees who are passionate about giving back to the communities we serve.
