“Mike has been an invaluable member of our marketing team for more than 10 years. Not only will he be greatly missed by his friends at NGL but by his many customers who he developed meaningful friendships with. We have all benefited from his vision, leadership and knowledge,” said Steven M. Phelps, NGL Vice President & Director of Preneed Marketing.

Mike shared, “My 10 years with NGL have been the most rewarding of my career. I believe as strongly today as when I started in this industry in the value of preneed, that is, helping people plan for the worst day of their survivor’s life. Thanks to NGL for allowing me to part of helping families receive the benefits of preplanning today and in the future.”

“The part I’ve enjoyed most is the interaction with customers. I’ve made a lot of good friends in the 35 years I’ve worked in the funeral industry.”

NGL has been preparing for Mike’s retirement with the hiring of Cameron Black in January 2019 as Regional Vice President. Cameron joins NGL from Precoa where he started in 2010 selling preneed in Georgia. Cameron’s most recent role with Precoa was Regional Director Business Development with a focus on partnering with new funeral homes.

Cameron has many years of industry experience and has worked closely with Mike to ensure a smooth transition for all of our partners, their agents and the families they serve.

Cameron shared, “It feels natural to join the NGL team. It’s a stable company that is a leader in the preneed industry. I’m excited to use my knowledge and experience to build relationships with marketing partners, agents and funeral homes while also spreading the word about the benefits of preplanning end-of-life services and celebrations.”

“We are pleased to have Cameron join our team. He is an energetic leader with a strong background in the preneed industry that will assist him in his new role at NGL as Regional Vice President. Cameron understands and believes in our values to provide high-quality insurance products that benefit the needs of people in the communities we serve, and a high level of service to our partners,” said Steven M. Phelps, NGL Vice President & Director of Preneed Marketing.
